Connecting
PlugView doesn't find my camera
- On the camera, turn on PC Remote and set the connection method to USB. On the Alpha 7 IV this is under MENU → Network → Transfer/Remote → PC Remote Function.
- Use a USB-C cable that transfers data. Many cables that come with chargers only charge.
- Unlock your iPhone and keep PlugView open while you plug in.
- Check that PlugView may use the camera: iPhone Settings → PlugView → Camera.
- Unplug the cable, wait a few seconds and plug it in again.
The camera is found, but there is no picture
Make sure no other remote app is connected to the camera at the same time, then reconnect the cable. If it still doesn't work, send us the log (… → Share Log on the start screen) and tell us your camera model and firmware version.
Which cameras work?
PlugView is made for the Sony Alpha 7 IV and an iPhone with USB-C. Support for more Sony cameras is on the way. Tell us which camera you use.
Can I try PlugView without a camera?
Yes. Tap Try Demo on the start screen. The monitor opens with a test picture and every tool works.

How do I change a tool's settings?
Touch and hold the tool in the tool strip. To choose which tools appear in the strip, tap the sliders button at the end of the strip.
Where are my photos and recordings?
In the gallery: open the menu (☰) in the monitor, or tap … → View Gallery on the start screen. To also save them to the Photos app, turn on Settings → Copy to Photos.
How do I unlock the screen?
Touch and hold Hold to unlock at the bottom of the screen for one second.
